If you’re planning to visit Southern California with your family, you’re probably going to try to get to the beach, to downtown Los Angeles, and Disneyland. But if you’re going with your family, you should be sure to check out Redlands! Redlands is a beautiful city east of Los Angeles that is filled with family-friendly activities for all ages. Here is a list of three family-friendly activities to do while you’re in Redlands.
San Bernardino County Museum
One of the best things to do in Redlands with your family is visit the San Bernardino County museum. The museum houses special exhibits, comprehensive research collections, and public programs for parents, children, students, and everyone in between. The museum celebrates the culture, diversity, and history of the Redlands area, and many of the museum exhibits are interactive and geared to help children learn and have fun. There are plenty of tables and chairs in the outside area of the museum so you can enjoy a picnic lunch during your time there.
If you need an activity where your kids can use their bottled-up energy, you should definitely check out Splash Kingdom, located right in Redlands. It features both a trampoline park and a waterpark in one place. The trampoline park features a large area with trampolines lining not only the floor, but the walls as well. Your kids can jump in any direction wherever they want! It also has a wall where you can climb onto different courses and test your skills. There is also a dodge ball court and a dunk court, making this a perfect stop for all families.
The Splash Kingdom Waterpark features all kinds of slides, wave pools, and rides that are fun for all ages. Some of the slides offer thrills for older kids, while Fantasy Island is perfect for the little ones who just want to splash around. No matter how old you are, you can always enjoy Castaway Cove, a huge wave pool that helps bring the beach to the Inland Empire. Be sure to bring your family to Splash Kingdom if you’re looking for a fun way to escape the heat.

This park is 27 acres wide and includes a duck pond, several picnic areas, tennis courts, and a dog park. You are able to visit whichever section of the park that you feel your family would enjoy best, whether that means taking your little ones to feed the ducks, tossing around a ball with the older ones in the open space, or even playing tennis with your spouse in the tennis courts. This park is perfect for families of all kinds.
