If you are going on a long journey, you may want to take some time to review the packing checklist. Often, we forgot to take something, but it is too late to return to get them when you are halfway to your journey. If you had to go through the packing list, you would have everything you need to enjoy your holiday trip. The following are 9 essential items to bring on your journey.
Get a Luggage
If you are going overseas, you should get luggage. The luggage is like a big zipped box that you can use to keep all your clothes. Most luggage now comes with two wheels and a retractable handle so that you can drag it instead of carrying it with your arm. Also, check what locking option the luggage has, for example, digit combination lock. Make sure you know how to open and close the digit combination lock before buying the luggage.
Pack Your Clothes
The first things to pack are your clothes. If you are going to a hot country, pack thin shirts and short trousers. You want to consider clothing with SPF when travelling in tropical countries. Or, if the place you are going to has lots of mosquitoes, you can bring along clothes with mosquito repellent. If you are visiting a cold country, be sure to bring your sweater and fleece blanket. Even if on a long trip, you may not want to wash your clothes, so it is best just to bring a few clothes along.
Pack Toiletry Basics
Next, you need to pack your toiletry basics. For toothpaste and toothbrush, it is up to you to bring since the hotel usually provides them. The hotel also includes body shampoo and towel so no need to bring them. But, if you want to use your toothpaste and toothbrush, towel, and shampoo, then, you should bring them.
You will want to check the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention to see if you need to get any vaccination. Some countries require tourists and the animal they want to bring in to get vaccinations. Usually, the immunizations must be administered at least 2 months before travelling so you should be arranging for it early.
Bring First Aid Kits
You should prepare a travel first aid kit equipped with basics like gauze, bandage, pain reliever, lozenges, allergy medicines, sunburn cream, motion sickness pills, and insect repellent. Bringing these items yourself prevent you from having to go around looking for a pharmacy. You never know you will get sick in the trip, so preparing the first aid kit will be handy.

If you plan to record your trip, you may be interested in sharing it online while still on the holiday destination. It is common for raw videos to have mistaken, so editing is necessary.
